About the KAI-X Summer Internship
This internship gives students the opportunity to take part in real research tasks at KAIST. Interns will work in laboratories, modern research facilities, and gain valuable academic experience during the summer.
It is designed for students who have interest about science, technology, and research, and who want international visibility.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:

How to Apply
Applicants must complete the application using the Google Form application link provided in English Language.
The completed application would be submitted only once, but you can only edit your responses before the deadline through the Google Form edit link.

Required Documents
Before applying, applicants must combine the documents listed below into one PDF file:
Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Not less than 1,200 words
You must describe their academic journey, research interests, motivation for applying, and goals.
Official Transcript
From the last 3 months
Must include an official seal or signature from your previous school.
Letter of Recommendation
Issued within the last 3 months
Must clearly state the program name: “2026 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program”
Include the recommender’s full name, email, affiliation, and title.
Language Requirement
Ensure that all application materials are written in English. If any document is not in English, you must submit a notarized English translation alongside the original.
Selection Process
Applicants must choose one primary major
They may select up to two research fields
The final results are expected in mid-April 2026

If selected, you’ll be assigned to a research lab based on your preferences and will work there throughout the internship.
